We could include everything from comic books shows to a steampunk film festival, an academic conference/lecture series, steampunk dances and parties, steampunk-themed theatre shows. Could a steampunk make-over give our tired old festival a fresh new look, and help it reach a whole new audience? …subverting our Klondike theme and our Klondike aesthetic, to give it a fresh new edge does have a certain geek hipster appeal.”
