Belgravia residents meet to discuss ‘End of the World’: River valley spot is a popular hangout

Belgravia residents met Wednesday evening to discuss a river valley spot popular with young people, who residents say are clamouring to the site and leaving a mess.

All that remains of Keillor Road — a once popular route closed to traffic in the 1990s — are unstable pilings left in the river valley below the area of Saskatchewan Drive and 75th Avenue. A steep dirt path leads to the concrete structure, a spot known as the End of the World…neighbours are growing frustrated with mischief in the area, including garbage strewn around the parkland and streets, open consumption of drugs and alcohol, fireworks set off and vandalism.”
