What makes the street as the street should be are posters, and as a Polish designer is saying, they are actually “the art of the street”. I think it is because we can have them at any place and any time, not at such respectable place as at the exhibition-galleries but in crowded place, in restaurants and tea-rooms, on dirty walls, on windows, or as pin-ups in private rooms; they exist freely and are pasted as if they were “exposed”. Therefore, posters are the origin of environment art, and at the same time they seem to turn the street itself into a pop museum.”
